The Skipper Tee - adding a pop of colour
An elegant wardrobe is arguably incomplete without a bit of colour strewn through. We tend to gravitate towards dark neutrals (charcoal grey, navy blue, dark brown and black) for most of the year but it comes to a point when this austere approach to a classical wardrobe, though a solid foundation, becomes slightly stifling.
Consider then the Skipper Tee.
The ever humble tee is an essential and loved piece, but when something a little more considered is needed, our Skipper Tee is able to step in. Produced fully fashioned in Scotland, we’ve taken the classic silhouette and refined it by taking inspiration from the easy elegance of Cary Grant in the 1955 crime caper To Catch a Thief.
It presents an opportunity to introduce colour and a touch of 50’s Riviera elegance into both a tailored and casual leaning Summer capsule, yet in wearing it also manages to look ahead to the 60’s and 70’s for inspiration – in particular musicians such as John Lennon, Brian Eno and Serge Gainsbourg. With graphic or colourful tees taking the place of your run of the mill button shirt and tie, it was and still is a subtle way to deconstruct the formality of tailoring whilst adding character and colour.

However you choose to add a splash of colour to your outfit, our skipper tee's are so vertatile they earn a space in any wardrobe for any occasion. Shop the full collection online and in-store.
