Description
Occasionally, some items of workwear seem confined to a life of hard labour. Worn without consideration past the utilitarian purpose they are designed for, not quite crossing over to the majesty of menswear; streetwear, maybe, but not to be embraced as a functional part of every-day wear in a man’s wardrobe past the weekend.
The Double Knee, for us, seemed an obvious choice to bring into the fold - bridging our workwear into streetwear and bringing balance to a blazer in our own way.
Our pattern, released under our Bryce-Alls collection, we believe is the perfect balance of workwear, fit and fabric. With mid to high rise, the waistband sits formally just above the hip giving shape and proportion before falling into a full leg. The ‘double-knee’ front starts at the waistband, forming the front pockets and finishing at the shin. The defining utility pockets and loops are all in place and finished with brass hardware and zip-fly.
The 11.5oz denim uses an indigo/black warp & weft, which, initially gives them a midnight blue, verging on black natural state. After washing and repeated wear, the shade lightens; glowing a rich blue on a black background before revealing the natural while cotton.
All-in-all, the Bryce-Alls Double Knee is a pant for hard-wear and to be worn hard.
