Description
Gene Kelly, in high-waisted, deep pleated flannels slouches against a wall, with all the elegance of form he made his signature. On top, a sweatshirt worn as sportswear, but with an intentionality of proportion to make elegance inherent.
This is what we envision in making a sweatshirt - something with an intentionality to its form.
Made with a set-in shoulder on a freedom sleeve, the body sits short and square, dipping to the front, as suited to flannels and a blazer as it is to beat-down chinos or jeans.
The loop-wheel body is woven in Wakayama, a town south of Osaka famous for its woven cotton production, and assembled in Edogawa Tokyo, our sweatshirt aims to be as versatile a garment as a 5-pocket jean or chambray shirt. Sportswear with all the elegance to beat tailoring at its own game.
