One of our favourite vintage pieces that have found their way into our archive are the WWII USN Deck Jeans. Straight and simple, we have updated the cloth from the 10oz denim of the 40’s USN wardrobe to a 15oz Japanese milled pure cotton herringbone in a dusty white for our Deck Pants. Somewhere between a jean and chino, the cut is wide and straight, looking best worn comfortably loose and hanging from the hip.
Evoking resort wear of the 30’s and 40’s, our Deck Pants look best hemmed to a clean length and rolled with a little casual flair. Rakish with a blue blazer, espadrilles and a hard pressed crease, a la Cary Grant in to catch a thief, or with our chambray zip neck and plain toe bluchers, wear them comfortably and don’t be afraid to let them slouch just a touch. Elegance disguised as workwear, for those for whom elegance is natural regardless of the wardrobe.
