A first feature of our womenswear, the Janet Jeans take inspiration from photos of strong and adventurous American women during the 1930s-40s, where jeans and boots were not just for men, but also for women. Women who were out on the ranch; female collegians in universities that adopted denim jeans as their unofficial class uniform.
Cut from 12oz unsanforized left-hand twill, giving the denim a texture that is even and smooth. With a softer hand than our usual right hand denim, it caresses the figure from waist to hip, and drapes through a wide and comfortable leg.
Cut high and wide, cinch-buckled at the centre back, it is effortless with a white t-shirt and sneakers, has more than enough attitude for a pearl snapped western shirt and cowgirl boots, and is elegant enough for bloused rayon or classic button-down and slippers.
